Project/Technical Leader (Web Development Project)

Position Summary

This position requires a professional, who is experienced in Project Management, Requirements Analysis, Software Testing, and Web application development, to lead the implementation of a portal/dashboard solution for the an Intranet system.

The candidate must have a thorough understanding of project planning and execution, requirements gathering and documentation, development and execution of software test scripts, and the front and back-end implementation of portals and dashboards.

 

Required JobQualifications/Competencies

• The candidate must:
• Have at least 2 years of experience as a project manager, requirements analyst, and software tester
• Have at least 2 years of software development experience in the area of building web-based solutions that interface with SQL databases
• Be able to break down complex tasks into manageable pieces
• Be able to work independently on multiple concurrent tasks
• Have ability to estimate reliably the time, effort and resources required for completing a task
• Have ability to complete tasks on time and within budget.
• Have excellent presentation and written communication skills and the ability to work closely with peers and team members in a collaborative manner.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, information technology, or systems engineering.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The candidate will:

1. serve as the project manager in the design, development, testing, deployment and support of a web portal/dashboard solution,
2. gather and document requirements for the solution,
3. develop and execute test scripts to test the solution,
4. contribute to the development of the solution.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:

Two or more years experience with: HTML, XML, JavaScript, Java, Java Server Pages, Beans, EJB, Application Servers, Portals, Dashboards, SQL, SQL Server
